Question about prempro?

my gyn gave me prempro for hot flashs he said not to pay attention to the warnings insert but i read it any way i read stuff about increased risks of cancers my gyn said taking prempro (estrogen & progestin) can lower my cholesterol and blod pressure and reduce my risk of uterine cancer he gave me the 2nd to lowest dose .45/1.5mg and he said i will have no risks because i began therapy in perio menopause he sais i wouldn't have to take it always my mom never had cancer burt she died of a chest sarcoma that eventually spread to her lungs my gyn said thats doesnt affect me because it wasnt cancer can any one advise me or reure me about this prempro hormone treatment I went to my gyn because i was desperarate my hot flashs were very bad and it was ruining all my relationships and i was also very emotional i would feel heat building up in me like i was on fire and couldnt stop sweating and i would be soaking wet even in the am
