I am thinking of stopping in the Atlanta Suburb of Morrow on our way to Florida. Is this a safe area?

We will be driving to Orlando, and we are wanting to get past atlanta so we don't have to mess with the Atlanta rush hour traffic the next morning. Is this a good area to stay, or where would you suggest to stay just south of Atlanta, within about a half an hour or so to the south of ATL that is reasonably priced in a decent, safe area?
