What should I do now with her?

My ex said she needed a break from our relationship to think. That was a week ago and i talked to her last night. she asked me if i wanted her in my life at all so i told her i want her once place in my life and thats as my girlfriend. she then said that she didnt need to be anything in my life then. she quit talking to me after that and hasnt talked to me all day. i sent her a message and i asked what she meant by that and i told her that i do want her in my life because she is one of my best friends. should i just let her take this break and she can talk to me when she wants or should i try to talk to her? i really dont know how to handle this break thing.
