Bella's Power ( Mental Shield )?

In BD, how did Bella's know that Jane attacking him, it said that when Jane is attacking him, there a sharp jab that try to her shield. When Alec mist hit a wall, there a sweet dense ( i think ) that try to her shield to. So if Bella's mental shield block it, why does she feel that someone try to attacking him..
