I want a tattoo that symbolises my group of four friends - designs?

My friends and I are about to finish university and want to get a tattoo to remember our time together. We want it represent the number four (as there are four of us). We want it to be really simple, small, maybe abstract/symbolic (ie not the number four!) Any ideas??
