Legal issues with subleasing?

Sorry to say this but it sounds like now you have two places to pay rent for. If the new girl (sublease) did not sign a new lease for your old place (from the sounds of it she did not) then you are still responsible for the lease though August. If you have signed a new lease at the new place and have taken the keys and position of the property then you have to pay rent there as well. You need to find someone to take over your old place ASAP even if you have to pay them to do it. Put an ad on Craigslist and offer to pay for there application and deposit if approved. You would come out a lot better with that deal then 8 months of rent at two places.
